I have been chomping at the bit to share this news with all of you! Creativity in the Time of Capitalism is launching a podcast, and my preview episode is now live.
Since I began this project in July of last Summer, it has been in a state of active evolution. Beginning with essays, I have since grown to love interviews—finding catharsis and communion with other creatives. In the process of conducting those interviews, with so much support from my incredible copy editor Kelly DeWitt Norman, I have relished the long-form, written context of these conversations, but I have also missed the texture and context of tone and voice, the medium that I record all of my interviews in prior to transcription. As a result, over the past few months, I have been working on adding a podcast to sit alongside this project with a producer named Ryan Leyba.
Podcast episodes and Substack interviews will drop concurrently, with my paid Substack audience enjoying ad-free streaming of the podcast the week of its release. The full long form written interviews will remain available to the entire Substack audience the week of its release, before migrating behind the paywall the following week. This is a move I have adopted for all interviews since the beginning of the year. If you would like to learn more about it, please click here. The Creativity in the Time of Capitalism Substack will also still house essays and resources in between interviews at organic intervals.
The CITTOC Podcast will also be available beyond Substack, anywhere you like to do your streaming—whether that be Spotify or Apple podcasts or any of the other major platforms.
I am so excited to share this preview episode with you now (at the top of this message), you can also listen to the Preview Episode on Apple Music or Spotify. It would mean so much to me if you would also follow/subscribe there! Apple will allow you to rate the preview, while Spotify will allow it once the first full episode airs (next month).
